What is music supervision?

Music supervision is choosing and licensing songs for use in film, television, or video games

Music supervision is the careful selection and licensing of songs for use in visual mediums such as movies or video games.

An example of a music supervisor is Dave Jordan, who is the highest-grossing music supervisor in film history. He has chosen the music for all the films set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as the Transformers franchise. For instance, he was responsible for choosing and licensing all the classic tracks on the Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) soundtrack. This was the first soundtrack album consisting of entirely previously released songs to reach number one on the US Billboard chart.

Our music supervisor is Tin Soheili. He has discovered and cleared the rights for hundreds of songs. If you need an expert ear for your project, contact us.
